Our Vision: 100% Access to Integrated Health Care for all residents of Union, Wallowa, and Baker Counties.

NEON is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rural health collaborative of providers, agencies and community members from Union, Wallowa, and Baker Counties of Northeast Oregon. Our members represent the fields of primary care, long-term care, public health, mental health, alcohol and drug services, social and family services. The purpose of NEON is to strengthen the rural healthcare system in Union, Wallowa, and Baker Counties by integrating expertise and expanding available resources.

Our region faces above-average poverty rates, healthcare provider shortages, unemployment rates, geographic isolation, and transportation barriers. All of these factors combine to create a significant lack of access to necessary healthcare in our community. NEON seeks to provide a unified voice in order to represent our rural communities. In doing so, we have been able to influence health policy formation, increase resources, and strengthen economic development to support our Northeast Oregon communities.
