NEON MEMBER’s MONTHLY EMAIL UPDATE: NOVEMBER, 2009
Greetings NEON Members! It’s back to the wonderful busyness of the Holiday Season! NEON staff has been multi-tasking to meet the upfront needs of hiring and recruiting for some of our recent job postings. As a result of being a recipient of four new grants, we are carefully but quickly hiring for new positions to carry out needed program work, while creating new job descriptions as we speak. By the end of this year, we will have hopefully hired and trained 5 new employees! All six of the current staff will have new job duties, or totally new positions. We will be hiring 2.5 more fte after January. We did successfully meet our goal set in July to get all our outreach specialists in each county to full time. Look for introductions to all of our new staff in our next quarterly newsletter. NEON is also currently looking for new office space to fit the increased number of staff, along with new office supplies and furniture.
We have been continuing with community meetings and planning work for both multi share and FQHC projects. Multi-share workgroup meetings are being finalized and the project planning should start to kick off next month! As for the FQHC project, implementation of a community health assessment process has already started and is in the planning stages.
