Healthy Kids

Healthy Kids
We can help you get your kids and teens covered under the Healthy Kids program. Healthy Kids is Oregon’s free or low cost health care program for uninsured children and teens up to their 19th birthday. Once enrolled, coverage lasts a full year and can be renewed if the family is still eligible the next year. Almost every uninsured child in Oregon qualifies!
Coverage
Once enrolled your child or teen will have the following coverage:
  • Doctor visits and preventative care
  • Medical, dental and vision care
  • Prescriptions and durable medical equipment
  • Mental health and chemical dependency services
Qualifications
The child must be under the age of 19, uninsured and a legal resident. Even children with pre-existing conditions qualify.
Cost
No-cost
For the no-cost option, you do not pay for coverage.
Low-cost
For the low-cost option, families pay a small portion of the monthly premium, which depends on their income. On average, families will pay a total of about $50 a month for all kids for health coverage.
Full-cost
For the full-cost option, families pay full cost. Current monthly rates range from $165 to $475 per child, depending on the age of the child and the plan of choice.
If you or someone you know has a child or is an adult that is not a legal resident of the United States or does not have an immigration status, either call or look into the CAWEM program on our site.
