Medicare
Medicare is for people age 65 or older, but other circumstances can occur. For example, if you are younger and have disabilities or have end stage renal disease you may qualify for Medicare. There are also different plans within Medicare, so if you have any questions feel free to contact one of the outreach specialists.
If you are currently enrolled, the next open enrollment period for 2011, is October 15th thru December 7th. During this time staff can assist you with the enrollment process.
If you are not currently enrolled there is an open “window” around your 65th Birthday.
Documents that you may need to bring with you to an appointment include:
- Current Medicare Card and or Social Security Card
- List of medications you take and the dosage (m.g.), how many per day, what pharmacy you use, and how often it’s filled.
