From Our Director

A Special Message From Eric Griffith, NEON Executive Director

To Our Partners and Friends of NEON:

I am writing this message to announce that in June of this year, I will step down as the Executive Director of NEON to pursue other interests. In September of 2013, I started working for NEON as an application assister, and have served NEON in a variety of positions over the years. Over the course of my career here, NEON has grown significantly as an organization and works tirelessly to meet the community health needs of the region.

The NEON Board of Directors and I have worked hard to have a clear transition plan in place, and the NEON Executive Director Job was posted until March 29th on our website and other media. The board is excited about the opportunity to thoughtfully and intentionally select the next Executive Director.

NEON is as strong as ever. We continue to grow programs that have been in place for several years and we are also developing new programs to serve Eastern Oregon. With the growth we’ve experienced in the last three years and changes we’ve seen at the regional level, NEON is in a great place to continue to provide valuable support to Northeast Oregon.

I’ve learned a lifetime of lessons while at NEON, for which I am grateful. I wouldn’t change a thing about my time working here and doing what I can for the health and benefit of Northeast Oregon residents. I hope to stay connected with NEON and their initiatives in the future.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at egriffith@neonoregon.org or to the NEON Board Chair, Robert Kleng, at rkleng@eou.edu.

Sincerely,

Eric Griffith, NEON Executive Director
