About The Event

This two day training, presented by Lisa Ladendorff, LCSW of NEON, will provide an overview of the nature, extent and impact of tobacco health impacts. It will also provide a more detailed exploration of counseling and social support strategies that Community Health Workers can implement with those patients interested in tobacco cessation. For those CHWs attending the training, NEON staff will provide up to four coaching sessions post training to help support the CHW’s implementation of strategies and skills learned during the training. There is no cost for this training and lunch will be served both days. This training will provide 13 CEUs through NEON's CHW Training Program. This event is sponsored by the Baker County Local Community Advisory Council. Please email Lisa at lladendorff@neonoregon.org with any questions about this event.
