Hermiston - Addiction: Helping People Make Change
Participants will build on their basic knowledge of addiction and learn about how to help community members living with addiction to move through the stages of recovery. CHWs and others will earn 6 CEUs in this hands-on, day-long training.

About The Event
Join us to learn about what happens in the brain as people in recovery move through the stages of treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Learn and practice basic intervention skills including Alignment, Creating Discrepancy, and Decisional Balance to work with people in all stages of behavior change.
Instructor: Lisa Ladendorff. Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a 26 year career in behavioral health, including working with people in recovery.
6 CEU Contact Hours & 1 Hour Break for Lunch
