Develop a clearer understanding of lead exposure and lead poisoning, including the sources of lead in our environment and its effects on the human body. Learn about resources for lead poisoning prevention and treatment, and mitigation of lead exposure in the home. Earn 3 CEU contact hours.

About The Event

After a brief review of the history of lead and lead poisoning throughout human history, participants will learn about the sources of lead in our environment and how to prevent unsafe exposure. We will cover the effects of lead exposure and how it can be treated, and the role of THWs in working with individuals and families affected by lead in their environment. Finally, participants will leave with a list of resources for prevention and treatment as well as mitigation of lead in the home.

This training offers 3 THW and MHACBO CEU contact hours.
