About The Event

In this interactive 3-hour training, we will define the unique characteristics of CHW and home visitor roles and identify the qualities and skills of an effective CHW/home visitor supervisor. We will look at the concept of "trauma informed supervision" and assess our own practice in that light, practice using active listening skills such as open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening and summarizing to be applied to supervision with CHWs and home visitors, and make use of the supervision framework and tools necessary to create an effective supervision structure.

This training will be conducted online and offers 3 CEUs. Prior to the training date, you will receive instructions for logging in and training materials necessary for the session.
